Getting Ready To Go...

So, I am leaving in 6 days now, which means it is time to start packing! Although 6 days seems quite a long time to pack, I have a lot of goodbyes and a few shopping trips to make in merely 144 hours!
I originally had planned (somehwhat optimistically) to take one suitcase. But seeing as I have already filled one case (and have had to sit on it to zip it up), without having packed an coats, bags, shoes or toiletries, it seems like I am going to need more than one case.

But what makes the packing even more difficult is the bizarre weather of Illinois; 30°C the summer, -30°C in the winter! Meaning i'm having to pack two completely different sets of clothes! My jumpers collection will take up quite a bit of space...

Also, as my friends know, I am a little bit of a hoader; I keep EVERYTHING. Hence, I am finding it hard to leave some things behind! So I have limited myself to only a couple of things to make my new dorm room cosy... Ofcourse I have packed a couple of photo frames and some of my Mum's homemade christmas gifts from years gone by (like my blanket). Obviously Wii Willy Winki will be packed too.

People keep asking me if I am nervous or excited; at the minute it is a little bit of both. I'm nervous because I could count the people I know in Illinois on one hand, not to mention the fact that I have not met my roommates yet! But despite this, and the fact I will miss everybody, I am so excited for this opportunity!

BUT... before I go, I have lots to look forward to, not to mention my going away party on Saturday!
